I am always so relaxed and at ease when Elaine is doing my hair. She always gives my hair a fantastic cut, colour and blow-dry. Elaine is a very creative hairdresser as whenever I feel like a change of style she always comes up with something that will suit me best! Because: "I went to Fas once to have my hair done by a lovely girl called Jackie. She gave me a whole new look, a great cut and lovely colour so I decided wherever she goes I will follow her and that's what I've done. I have to travel ten miles but it's worth it. She does such a good job and I'm asked many times who does your hair. She is so confident and professional for a young hairdresser and you'll always come out happy. She's always cheerful and pleasant and her own hair looks fabulous which is a plus for any hairdresser. P.S she makes a great cup of tea."

She is highly efficient and extremely pleasant. She has an excellent pair of hands. My hair is very straight and she is the only one I know that can give me a blow-dry that looks really well and lasts. For special occasions she has come in very early to get me out on time. She is very punctual - no waiting which I really appreciate. She is very attentive to detail, cutting and colouring. It gives me great pleasure to nominate her for Golden Scissors. I hope she wins."

Because: "I wish to nominate Elaine from Naturelles. I think she is a fantastic hairdresser. I trust her 100% when she is doing my hair. She always knows what style and haircolour will suit you especially if you feel like a change. Elaine makes me feel so relaxed and comfortable. She fits me in even when she is already very busy. Elaine has been my hairdresser for years now, I would never let anyone else do my hair. So many of my friends and people I know get their hair done by Elaine and they are always satisfied. Elaine has the special touch, her blow-dry's especially last for days. Please, please pick Elaine, no one else deserves this more. P.S. Only want to be a hair spy if it's Elaine as I wouldn't trust anyone else.

Because: "John Cawley has been doing my hair for the last five years. I find that no matter how busy he is he fits me in whether to trim my fringe or to get a full head of highlights. He employed my daughter Joanne two years ago and is training her to the highest standards. Lots of people comment on my hair and ask where I got it done. Currently, I have a bob. He cut is so I can manage it easily myself. He is so helpful. When I got to the salon to get my hair done I meet people from Manorhamilton, Boyle, Carrick-on-Shannon and all over. It has to be said he is one in a million."

Because: "For years I was the girl with the big frizz hair but since I found Annette my life has turned around from those bad hair days to trouble free hair days. Annette is brilliant at her job. Proof of that is I travel from Dublin every couple of weeks to see her. I always enjoy my visit to Annette and of course the tea and biscuits as well as the chat is always a bonus. Not to forget the rest of her team. They are all very friendly and helpful."

Because: "I have been going to Monica for 23-24 years and never in that time have I been disappointed with the results I got. Indeed now when Monica asks me what I want done and what colour I just say, "I will leave it in your capable hands". The result is always perfect and I have often been asked who my hairdresser is. Monica is more than a hairdresser, she is a friend too. When my son died tragically in December 2005 Monica was on my doorstep within hours with her little 'box of tricks' as I called it. She said: "I'll do your hair. It will help." And it did. Not only that, she called several times over the next few weeks- to do my hair but also to chat and have a cup of tea or coffee. Indeed, she often brought the odd little gift to cheer me up. She never accepted payment and I might add I live approximately 16-17 miles from her home. Over the years Monica has been hairdresser to my family. Actually, she has done four generations of hair- my mother, myself, my children and only the other day I had my granddaughter in to have her hair cut. Monica- thank you, you are one in a million."
